Chronic Pain

Chronic or persistant pain

What is Chronic Pain?

Chronic or persistent pain is pain that lasts longer than 3 months, and it can sometimes be difficult to diagnose and treat. Chronic pain can sometimes be in an area you have previously injured, but not always. More than 18% of Canadians suffer from chronic pain. Assessment and treatment by a physiotherapist can help you understand and manage your chronic pain better. Manual therapy techniques, education, exercises, relaxation, and body awareness training is important to your recovery and will be provided. Understanding what triggers your pain is also important and your therapist will help you discover this.
