Physiotherapists

Carly Chuby
Carly is a physiotherapist, clinic owner, and manager at Altea Physiotherapy with over 15 years of clinical experience. She provides both musculoskeletal and vestibular physiotherapy, combining clinical expertise with a passion for helping patients restore movement, balance, confidence, and quality of life.
Carly graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2011 and has completed extensive post-graduate training in vestibular rehabilitation, orthopedic physiotherapy, and acupuncture. She integrates manual therapy, exercise prescription, education, and acupuncture to support patients in recovering, improving function, and returning to the activities they enjoy, with a particular passion for providing advanced vestibular care in Northern BC.
Her advanced certifications include:
- Vestibular Certification (40 Hours) – Emory University
- Advanced Vestibular Training – University of Pittsburgh
- Advanced Decision Making Course – 360 Neuro Health
- Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Certification
- Advanced Vestibular Physical Therapist – University of Pittsburgh
Carly is a member of the Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA) and the Balance and Dizziness Disorders Association (BaDD).

Jon Chuby
Jon started his career at UHNBC working in many different areas including; cardiorespiratory, neurological, and musculoskeletal. He has taken many sports related courses over his 15 years of practice, giving him exceptional sports taping and assessment skills. He also specializes in concussion treatment and assessment and is certified in SHIFT concussion management.
Jon’s philosophy is treating everyone like a close friend and to lighten the mood with a good dad joke, which he has mastered since becoming a father of two. Every time you come in, you will probably see him in a Hawaiian shirt, most of which are from famous movies.
His advanced certifications include:

Joseph Giesbrecht
In 2025 Joseph graduated from the University of Limerick in Ireland, where he combined his love for science and movement into a career in physiotherapy. Originally from Prince George, BC, he grew up playing sports and went on to compete in university soccer for UNBC. After going through physiotherapy himself following injuries, Joseph saw firsthand how effective treatment and rehabilitation can help people return to the activities they enjoy.
Outside of the clinic, Joseph enjoys an active lifestyle and spends much of his time hiking, camping, mountain biking, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. His passion for movement and the outdoors helps him connect with clients and support them in returning to the activities they enjoy most.
His certifications include:

- Registered with Health and Care Professionals of BC

Kinesiologist

Liam Beck
Born and raised in Prince George, Liam began his education at the College of New Caledonia (CNC), where he earned a two-year diploma in Kinesiology. He then went on to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at UBC Okanagan. His strong academic background, easygoing nature, and commitment to helping others move well make him a fantastic fit for our team.
In addition to working with clients in the clinic, Liam also leads some of our hydrotherapy sessions. Outside of work, you’ll often find him enjoying the outdoors, whether he’s playing pickleball or perfecting his throw on the local disc golf course.
His certifications include:

Counselling

Kourtney Rentz
Kourtney is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and holds a Masters in Counselling Psychology.
I offer an integrative approach to counselling rooted in person centered and trauma informed practice. I prefer to tailor my approach to the needs and personality of each client, drawing from several evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, Emotion Focussed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, as well as some body based approaches. I have experience working with all ages, and enjoy each one for their individuality.
I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment where healing can take place, and believe that when we finally start listening to our bodies is when change can happen.
